North Carolina fishing reports 12-15
Fishing report by Dan
Only two group of fishermen has come by the store to day. It seems nobody fish today due to the cold winds and blowing sand. I did have one person fishing out at the point for big sharks, but no reports so far. Joe is all pack up and heading out tomorrow morning. With his luck, the stripers will be biting tomorrow afternoon.

Tuesday's Report by Kristie
Had a few electrical problems last night, so I'm doing the report this morning. There's not much to report. There are a few folks out trying to catch a fish, just on luck. I did hear of some birds working up Oregan Inlet, so there is hope that they'll come down. Who knows, but we hope! I'll let ya know if I hear of anything!!

Jim Rowe and his crew finally got to get their tuna trip in. It seems that the weather conspired to whip us since Oct., but some things are worth waiting for, and this is a first rate example. The guys got to catch their limit early, and get back to Md. before bed time. Come see us. The fishing is great.

Well, with the wind blowing and temperatures near and below freezing, not many folks are trying their luck out there. This should bring the stripers further south. A report just came in of numerous gannets diving down about 1500 yards off the beach north of the Rodanthe pier. You could actually see them from the shop. Not sure if this means anything but thought it was worth mentioning.
We'll keep you posted if we hear of anything.
