Subject: MAY 12 NICE CLASS OF MEDIUM BLUES & A COUPLE OF MACKEREL TOO / Posted by: Bobby Smith / 05/13/10

We headed out with Earl Huffman & his buddy today for a midday trip around the inlet, ready to kill whatever we could find.Things started out very slow for us,really just waiting on the tide to get right.
We ran up the beach, back to the inlet, down the beach with nothing to show for it,then FINALLY one of my buddies called to let me know things were getting right with the tide.We finshed up strong with a decent catch of blues along with our first pair of Spanish Mackerel of the year.
Thanks again guys,we really enjoyed fishing with you two today! Bobby

Red Drum Tackle Shop Fishing Report 5-16-10
Saturday Fishing Report
A pretty good catch of Sea Mullet off Ramp 43 this afternoon. A nice 6lb 9oz
Black Drum was weighed in by Thelma Noble a.k.a. "Trophy Lady". A few Bluefish today and they were scattered from Ocracoke to Nags Head. Still no Cobia reported from the beaches but water temps hit 70 this afternoon and it's going to happen sooner than later - Grumpy.
Friday Fishing Report
Pretty much a repeat of yesterday. Sea Mullet from Avon to Rodanthe and
a scattering of Bluefish along the beaches. Lots of Spanish Mackeral off Ocracoke Inlet and if we can ever get these waters to warm up and stay warm, they'll show here. Hang-On nailed a Cobia today and he reported a few more caught by boaters. Hope everyone has a good weekend - Grumpy.
