North carolina Fishing report 12-24
Thursday, December 23, 2010 - 3:07 pm:
There hasn't been much to report due to the lack of anglers trying their luck, but can you blame them with the cold spell we just had. There was a report of one striper caught at night off the catwalk. Funny thing is, coming over the bridge that night...there was only one light noticed on the cat walk. The bright side...at least the odds are running at 100%.

fishing Report 12/21
Sunny and cool today. Northwest winds 10-15 mph and highs in the low 40's. Slow fishing, only some small puppy drum on the Buxton beach and a few trout at Hatteras beaches. No boats offshore.
Fishing Report 12/22
Calm day with light northwest winds 5 mph and highs in the low 40's. Slow fishing. So slow I have no reports from the beaches. There's a chance of some pups and specks and maybe a striper. Not to many people trying. Offshore was slow as well, only a few yellowfin tuna.

Inshore
12/22/2010
With unusually cold weather recently, the water temps have dropped and all but shut down the inshore fishing. We have had a few reports of speckled trout and redfish at the Masonboro jetty and in some of the deeper holes inside.
Near Shore
12/22/2010
With all the wind lately, not many boats have ventured offshore. We did get a report that some king mackerel were caught offshore yesterday

Wednesday's Report by Kristie
Had some folks in this morning buying shrimp and plastics, haven't seen them since. Hopefully that means they are catching the daylights out of fish, but highly doubtful. No reports so far today. The water temp is in the lower
40's. BRRRRRR, that's cold!!!! We are expecting some fresh bunker in this afternoon (striper's favorite food)!! I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!!! I'll check in with you the day after.

Hooray! An in-shore and an near-shore boat went out today and had great luck with the stripers just off the coast here. Boats will be arriving back in shortly and should have limits or close to limits. Now the bad news. Internet is still not working so no pics today. It should be up and running tomorrow and we will get the pictures up as quickly as possible....Merry Christmas
