myrtle beach

anyone from around myrtle beach? i am from ohio and am heading down in august and would like to know what fishing is good in the middle of the summer, if any. i would like to try the gulf stram if possible.

Yeah, Im in MB. August.......uh, bad time to go really, water is hot, few dolphin around, occasional wahoo. Probably have a better chance inshore on sailfish. Been thick last couple of years with plenty of shots at them. Bottom fishing is decent though. Especially if youre a diver. Kingfish bite is hot in august though. PM me and we'll get together, we may make a trip while youre here and you can go with us. ALWAYS looking for someone to help pay part of the fuel.

I will be down also in Sept & will be staying at Ocean Lakes Surf Side beach. Will be looking to go fishing.Will bring my own gear! Any suggestions?
