The fishing has been pretty decent this past week. Caught good numbers of Ladyfish, Bluefish and Spanish-mackeral in the inshore rips on ultra-lite spin-tackle. Most days provided some very nice size Sharks on med-light gear in very calm protected near shore waters. Haven't seen the 1rst Tarpon yet, but the baitfish we caught this morning were the largest baits of the year and that is a very good sign of their impending appearance. I have heard some good stories about the Trout and Redfish bite in the backwater, and if I get a chance to fish the right tide with 2 people or less, I might just give it a go this week. Hopefully My next weekends report has some "Tarpon" news to share.
