FISHING REPORT

Mon Sept 26th

The fog is in and out this morning with a little swell on the beach. King fish and blue fish are both being caught this morning.

Warm morning with a temp of 69 on its way to 80. There is a little bit of fog and no wind this morning and the ocean is in the low 70s.

Today the weather man says we will have sunshine ~~~now that is scary because he calls for rain and we have sun.

ALL FLUKE MUST BE THROWN BACK AS THE SEASON IS CLOSED.

It took a while this year but king fishing this weekend was outstanding. The are finally here in numbers and in size. Fish-bites (bag of worms), gulp worms and real bloodswere the best choice for these good eating fish.

The surf also has small bluefish on mullet and a few small bass have been caught on various baits.

For the people anchored up chumming for blowfish there are a few nice kings in the mix. If you are fishing off the beach some there are croakers and small weakfish.

Sun Sept 25th

Some good reports coming in from the overnight chunkers of 50-60 pound tuna.

Today is the last day that you can keep fluke.

This morning it is 68 with little wind and the ocean is 70.

Boy we have really been lucky with all this rain they have been predicting for us. We have had little to none or maybe a little drizzle. Beautiful rainbow last night with a nice sunset.

Once again rain is predicted for later in the day so for now get out and enjoy some fishing. Lots of little fish but you are catching. Take the kids to the beach so they can catch too.

Sat Sept 24th

Amazing day on the beach for small fish. Lots of action for fisher people today. The fish seemed quite territorial today with king fish taking over some beaches and others with non-stop bluefish. Both varieties had fish that were a mix with some keepers on the kings.

Boaters had some croakers and weakfish on 45-60 feet of water. Weakfish were up to 15 inches.

This morning the beach had smaller bluefish but there were king fish lovin fish bites.

It is 70 degrees and we have a WSW wind about 5 and the ocean is hanging in there with around 70 degrees.

So far in this month of Sept Mother Nature has thrown us all kinds of things to keep us away from catching fluke. Small craft warning for seas are to go in to effect after 11 am today. There are a few fluke being taken from the surf but tough to get a keeper. Good luck these last 2 days of fluke 2011.

Last night before the downpour that we had there was a lot of bait again on the front beach along with all the bluefish.
