Inshore Sails still hangin' around
Had thought of going grouper fishing today but instead decided to head to a couple spots within 20 miles and see if we could find a Sail. Got to the spot about 15 miles from the hill and deployed the dredges and dinks. Fought through the kings and spanish when the shotgun starts screamin. Only non-dink bait out and a sail went suicidal on it, blue & white small ilander. 20 minute fight, quick pic, and nice release. My buddies son was going nuts the whole time watching it jump while I was fighting it, first time hes been on the boat with a billfish bite. Caught a couple more kings and decided to call it a day around Noon.
Didn't think my day could get much better till I came home and watched the PIRATES get a huge win!!!!! What a great day in NC.
