In celebration of our 7th anniversary of launching Realtime-Navigator.com (May 7, 2004), I am looking forward to coming to Morehead City to personally meet many of the captains that fish out of this great port. Capt. Glynn Loftin will be present to share his experiences/perspectives on using Realtime-Navigator in the last 2 seasons (2nd Place Big Rock 2009, 1st Place Pirates Cove 2010). He certainly knows what he is doing when it comes to fishing!

We will be giving away to a Hilton's Navigation Package which includes a 1 year subscription to Realtime-Navigator.com, 1 year subscription to X-Traverse.com, and the great navigation app for the iPad, iNavX. This package is worth at least $400 upwards to $1,000, depending on which regions the winner selects. This will allow you to download the latest imageries into your iPad then go fish with some really cool capabilities. (iPad not included). Tickets will be given to all attendees, and the lucky winner drawn randomly.

The seminar starts at 2:00 pm, Friday May 6th at the great facilities provided by the marina overlooking the docks. Thanks to MHYB Manager Jet Matthews for setting this up.

The discussion will cover sea surface temperatures, chlorophyll, surface currents, altimetry, turbidity, structure, and other factors that affect why pelagics are located where they are on any particular day. I will show you how to "Fish In The Rearview Mirror" to learn why the fish were caught on that particular location on that paricular day, even if it was 3 or 4 years ago...this is especially useful if you fish the same tournament each year. Great learning tool for all of us.

I will show you how to use the Trip Planner to determine the relationship of a temp break to the other parameters, or its current position relative to historical sst positions of X hours ago to determine the speed and direction of its drift.

I will also be covering the advantages of using your iPad to navigate upon using the latest Hilton's imageries and will be demonstrating how this fascinating technological wonder is evolving into a must-have monitor on your helm. Also, for the boats that have in-line sat phone systems, I can show you how to obtain the latest imageries offshore using the iPad wifi capabilities for pennies on the dollar.

Lastly, I will be covering what is on the horizon for Hilton's and what will coming out later this year - truly great stuff that I think you guys will enjoy and benefit from immensely.

The seminar is free by the way, so come on out! I urge current subscribers as well as potential subscribers to come to learn the latest techniques on how best to use the site to its potential, or to answer any questions that you may have.

See you there!
Capt. Thomas J. Hilton
