[Fishing Report]

FISHING REPORT 1/17/2012 Four of us fished the incoming tide for spots. It was overcast with a slight wind ; however, the wind became stronger as the tide came in. We started on the flats using the troll motor to control our drift. Two fishermen were using live bait(shrimp/mud minnows) the other two-- electric chickens on a 1/4 oz. lead head. At the same time, we had two fish on, one on the live bait another on the "chicken". Both fish were over the slot limit---27 plus inches each!!! They were released after a photo shoot. Then, we watched as several dolphin pushed a school of "reds" up on the bank for their "brunch". Needless to say , we had to move on as this caused the reds to scatter. At our next location, we managed to pick up 4 "keeper" reds on live bait under a float. The wind was blowing hard at this time so we decided to call it a day. Again, another fun day fishing in the "Low Country"!!!!
