Help out a MD boy
I was at the docks at 5:00 am last weekend waiting for our charter to show up & I heard a lot of splashing comming from a shallow, grassy area on the other side of the channel. Granted, it was early AM & the sun was barely peering out over the trees, but the triangular silhouettes poking out of the water looked a lot like tailing redfish. We normally don't get reds this far north, but I have heard of a few. I know there's large schools of small bunker around the docks. What would you southern boys recommend I do for catching these "reds" (presuming that's what they are)?
Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

A gold Johnson spoon, redfish magic spinner bait or a jig head with gulp shrimp (natural) should do the job nicely, if indeed those are feeding (thus tailing) drum.
Good luck SeaBiscuit |
