Hatteras January Tuna - Seeking Crew!

It looks like we might have a weather window at the end of next week.

Thus, I’m thinking about heading to Hatteras on Monday, 1/24/11 with the idea of working on the boat for a few days and hopefully, fishing later in the week and on the upcoming weekend.

I am going to be down there the 26-31 and might have a crew for you. What would be the cost? We aready have a jigging trip for tuna setup and might not be against going out with you for a day two. Do you troll or jig for the tuna?

A quick update ….

Only one boat has been offshore out of Hatteras Harbor Marina in the last few day and they picked up blackfin and a 220 pound bluefin. Apparently, they are out there. As always, of course, the trick is to find ‘em. ;-)

We are fully booked Friday, but we’ve still got spots open on Saturday & Sunday.

Morning folks.

Good news! The Hatteras bluefin bite has picked up. Perhaps we’ll have another decent February bite as was the case last year.

In any case, weather permitting (and it is looking good, thus far) I plan on heading south this Friday, 2/11 with the idea of fishing as many days as possible starting on Saturday, 2/12.

Bottom line, if you want a decent shot at a big bluefin, if at all possible, give me a shout and grab a spot between 2/12 and 2/21.

Let’s go get ‘em while they’re here!
