Hatteras Jack fishing report Rodanthe 9-12
The Clean Up
Well folks, it has been a rough road so far after the storm, but we're making progress. Starting this Monday (September 12) we'll be back online with our mail order. The rod shop is back up and running again. And as soon as the flood adjuster gives us their assessment, we are going to have an inventory blowout sale of items touched by the flood, but aren't damaged beyond use. So this will be a good time to load up on items you've been wanting. We'll keep you posted on that!
Fishin' Talk
Although the storm has put a damper on things temporarily, the season is going to be changing soon which brings the fall fishing. So just like football season for most, fisherman will have tight lines on their minds! There has been a couple folks in the Buxton area able to get a line out. I imagine they are a few local folks. The report has been puppy drum and bluefish from the surf.
The main reports we have heard about is some offshore action and this is just due to the offshore boys being able to procede with their activities. Out of Oregon Inlet white marlin has been on fire. Along with limits of dolphin and numerous black fin tuna. There has even been wahoo in the mix. The near shore have had decent catches of spanish and blues and the inshore boats have had good catches of puppy drum and speckled trout.
As for the Hatteras Inlet fleet, the news is a few of the marinas are up and running and taking bookings. You will need to call to find out more information from the area marinas.
