Word so far is small trout and puppy drum along the northern end of Hatteras Island. Reports of keeper trout on the soundside of Hatteras Inlet.
Tuesday, November 23, 2010 - 1:05 pm:
Numerous black drum on shrimp north of the wreck in Salvo.
10:07 am:
Trout are being caught next to the Rodanthe pier.

Just heard of keeper trout north side of Frisco pier.

A report came in this morning of a good number of stripers being caught at the Manns Harbor Bridge right before sunset last night.
No report from the surf as of yet.

Got word that a couple 20lb stripers were caught at the Bonner Bridge last night apparently on eels. Just thought you'd might like to know!

Well, it seems like advising people in the store to fish the banks of Manns Harbor bridge paid off. Got a report of numerous striped bass in the late afternoon.
We also got reports of numerous specks in both Rodanthe and Hatteras Inlet. Most were throw backs, but there were some keepers in the mix.

The NC Division of Marine Fisheries has come out with the new guidelines on catches of speckled trout. 6 per person, no more than 2 over 24". Be sure to check with NC Marine Fisheries for more information.
