Reports of still real good numbers of puppy drum near Hatteras. Mostly caught on grubs, but there have been a couple reports of bait bits as well.

Still hearing of puppy drum in the Buxton/Hatteras area. As for the stripers, we heard the report was excellent from the Wright Memorial on up to Duck.

The trucks and trailers have had the Oregon Inlet boat ramp jammed packed over the weekend. Numerous stripers have been reported. The catwalk reported a decent striper landed last night. Puppy drum have been reported in the Frisco area.

The weekend warming trend had caused some of the offshore stripers to go back up near the Corolla area; however, this cold snap should push them back down. We've heard a couple reports of numerous gannets diving close to shore, within surf fishing reach, in the Tri-village area yesterday afternoon. Both fellas reporting this didn't see anyone fishing these areas and weren't equipped to fish themselves. The puppy drum report has ben good for the Buxton/Frisco area.

Got word right now that a massive bait ball has been spotted at the boiler on Pea Island blitzing the beach.
Get on it if you can!
