    hail mary

ran 45 miles out of MHC inlet yesterday and finally got the lines in. Had high hopes but never got a sniff all day. Man, it's always "fishin was good last week". Had marked some good bottom right on the edge earlier and made a mental note. We decided to change gears and try fishing the bottom. Almost right away we got into the fish. Good sized Red Grouper. What a blast reeling them up out of 250' of water it was. Good fighters and even better on the grill Brought home 9 and lost a few in the rocks and one to a shark. Turned out a great day w beautiful weather. Swells sure did build as the day went on. Storm is coming!

It's alway's good to have the bottom gear, around. Save's many aday!! Trolling is fun, but bottom fishing is way under rated. Glad you got em. Frank
