Greenville is a decent place to be. If you are looking for a home--I would suggest staying as far on the east side of Greenville that you can. I would suggest looking in the Simpson/Grimesland area. West side of town (near hospital) is not where you want to be. Also, living on the east side of town puts you closer to water access. Within a quick tow you could put in at Washington,NC for summertime tarpon, fall and winter stripers. With a hour tow you could be farther down the sound for tarpon, large adult red drum (and puppy drum), stripers, spanish and blues, spadefish, black drum, trout (specks and grey)--you get the picture. If you want to go offshore, you could either put in near the sound and run across to the OBX --or with a hour and a half tow you could be in Morehead City for all the offshore action you could want. In Greenville, you could visit Overtons for boating/fishing supplies--and Greenville Marine is well stocked for the area.
