Exclamation Giant Red Drum

Since we arrived back from Pirate's Cove, I immediately made the transformation from big boat marlin fishing to smaller boat evening red drum fishing and it is HAPPENING. Sat. night we had 31 fish, average weight in the 35-40 lb. range. Last night we had 52 fish, that's right 52 red drum in the the upper 30-55lb. range, one of the best bites I have ever been a part of. The fish have been biting late, most of the fish we are catching are between 9:30 p.m. and midnight. Catching them on all the usuall, 15/0 circle hook, 2-3 ounce weight depending on tide and crabs, clams, mullets, shad, bunker, eels, spots and croakers. Great great fishing right now. Should be consistant through the end of Sept. Leaving in a about 10 min. to get some more of it. Good fishing, Capt. Brian. Extreme Measures Charters and the RUN-OFF.

Red Drum

Wow! Sounds amazing. We still need to figure out a schedule that doesn't conflict with our already hectic one. I want some of that action!

Looks like a two-day gig, with a morning drive down, early afternoon nap, evening/night fishing, some more sleep, then a drive back here to Norfolk.

Weekends preferred, or at least one of the two days a non-working day. Hard to take two more days off work right now.

Committed here on 23rd, 24th, 25th, 28th, but otherwise open, including the holiday weekend.

When are the "couple of evenings open"?

Thanks,
Brian

28 more to the body count.....

Just walked in the door, it is 5:30 am, last night was more of the same. About 4:30 yesterday afternoon we set up on some of the points and creeks along the shore line and wore out the puppy drum and flounder, few trout. About 11:30 last night we set up on the shoal for the big reds, it took about 12 min. and we had a tripple on. Last nights biggest fish was right around 62" overall. Anyway, laying down to get some rest for this evenings battle. Yes, even the beast needs a little sleep too. Capt. Brian.
