Fundraiser Feb. 5 for one of our Fishermen

February 5th, 2011, 12:00 noon. West Marine, Hwy 17N, North Myrtle Beach, SC. 843-280-1327

We, The Little River Inlet Saltwater Fishing Club (Tripp is a board member) and West Marine, North Myrtle Beach, SC (Asst Manager) are going to do a fundraiser. We are going to have BBQ Plates (aprox $6.00) and donated items that one may buy tickets to win or Auction (still working out the details). We have gotten some commitments from several tackle guru's for product, 1 year access to the SST info on Seaview , Tackle from South Chatham Tackle, Barefoot Fishing, Blue Water Candy Lures and much more. Certificates, a framed 1998 Saltwater Stamp and print (#113/150) and hopefully more to come. We are looking forward to a great turnout and maybe raise some money to help with some of Tripp's family's misfortune.

Here is some information on Tripp

Tripp Jackson, born and raised in North Myrtle Beach SC. Has always been an avid outdoorsman, fishing and hunting. After spending years as a Police officer he decided to make a change and left the force. He come to West Marine as assistant Manager for a year or so and then moved to Harbourgate Marina as Dockmaster. At this time he moved toward the offshore end of the fishing gamete and then ended up running a Wellcraft on the King Circuit. After a stint working with a site work company and concrete, he went back to his roots and West Marine, again as the Asst Manager and the backwaters of Cherry Grove and Little River to fish.

The week before Thanksgiving he had, what for any better medical terms, a double aneurism. He had two blood vessels bust in his head. This has left him with a lot of time on his hands and a lot of unanswered questions. He is at home and has been told that returning to work will be indefinite. He still has somewhat blurred vision, headaches and blood pressure issues that he has to overcome to be back 100%.

    Thanks
    Capt. Keith
