Hatteras Island Fishing Report 2-2

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today was sunny but a little windy. We had west winds at 15-20 mph and the temperatures were in the low 60′s. This morning the speckled trout bit a little at the jetties in Buxton. Well a few boats did make it out offshore today. The winds were more westerly for most of the day so Hatteras Inlet was a little more manageable, but still rough. They did manage some good blackfin and few yellowfin tuna. The hammerhead sharks have been hard on the tunas, some times your bringing up just the head.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today was mostly sunny and warm. We had west south-west winds 15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid to upper 60′s. Well the water in Avon and Buxton are a little on the dirty side so the scattered speckled trout bite is quiet. Some sharks and skates on Cape Point and that’s about it. No boats offshore but there were some guys out commercial fishing yesterday and said there were lots of bait off of Avon a few miles out. Maybe those bluefin tuna will be under them. There are a few boats booked tomorrow, the weather does not look good for the trip though. Hard south-west winds 20-30 mph makes our inlet at Hatteras pretty hairy.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today was sunny and warm with light wind. The winds were from the west north-west at 10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 60′s. As nice of a day it was we sure were slow and no one we talked to today were going or coming from fishing. The offshore fishing has been pretty good. Until the bluefin tuna really start showing up or on the weekends not that many charters are booked this time of year, so we have no report for today.
