Flounder Bites, Tailing Reds, and Offshore Season Begins

    Offshore:
Finally! Had a few days of decent weather recently and a few boats managed to venture out and do a little bluewater trolling. Had a report in from around the Deli of a handful of blackfin tuna being caught and some small dolphin, as well as a couple nice wahoo coming from straight offshore of charleston on the ledge. It's beginning!
    Inshore:
Believe it or not, we have finally been hearing a few trout being taken on live shrimp and artificials along shell rakes in 4 to 8 ft of water. Reds have moved into smaller groups the past couple weeks and are being found under docks, along rock piles, and even beginning to hear of some being found tailing in the grass at high water already. Also have heard some decent numbers of flounder being found near our inlets, being caught on mud minnows and finger mullet while drifting the inlets.

It's what we're eating for supper!
Red Drum still biting strong in the surf here. They move into trough areas as fast as the flow tide. Fresh cut mullet on fish finder and bottom rigs. Hooked up 8 Saturday and brought 3 home small enough to keep.
