Went down to Carolina Beach for New Year's Weekend. My 7 year old (in the red shirt) caught her first speckled trout on the last day of the year - in the surf no less. Gotta love NC. December 31st and we are on the beach in shorts and T-shirts, getting our feet wet and catching a few fish. We stayed with some great friends and their little girl caught one as well.
