I think you are on the right track, someone got paid to let the trawlers back in and if they don't seem to be acting on the reports of thousands of dead stripers you know someone is trying to cover up. I am so mad over this, wish I was down there, I would load up my truck with those dead stripers and drop them them right on the door step of whatever office made the decision to let them fish. someone has got to fight this!

Good thought........ but they would rather write you a ticket, for possessing over your limit of Stripe bass that you have in the back of your truck when you pull up in front of the office to show them and complain about it than find a solution to a known problem with the fishery.

The Bottom line is there should only be a rod and reel striper fishery. No nets, period. Up here in Mass our commercial season is rod and reel only and it lasts about 2 months. Shame on those Captains for allowing their nets to become over loaded, ever heard of a strain gauge you losers?
