    Smile cherry grove fishing

I am in myrtle beach for a few weeks.....i have read a few posts that indicate there is some fish being caught in the surf, piers, and back waters.....what can i expect to catch in the waters around Cherry grove.....can fish be caught off the small public dock at the boat launch area near 50th st.......is there any chance to catch anything in the surf or off the cherry grove pier.......what is the best baits to use....i have been told the waters are too cold and the fish are not biting.....

Thanks in advance to all.....this is my first post....just joined your site the other day..

Cherry Gove Red Drum and Trout

The water in the surf is too cold but not the backwater..... Most fish that you will find you will need a boat to get too. You can try the canals there at Cherry Gove too with a 1/8 oz jig head and a Gulp bait. There might still be some trout there still. I would fish the head of the canals and where the meet the big canal and around the docks.

You may all so want o check out ******************************** too while you are here. Lot of info there on fishing Cherry Grove and Little River...
