Left Charleston at 600 stroking at 37 knots on the new 60 viking. God that thing is a rocket ship. Fished straight out and little north. Found some bait and worked it for a few hours. Caught a nice blue on a 30 with 80 lb leader. Girls first time catching a blue. Lets just say the cockpit turned into a washer machine with a few floating coolers and I think a person. Was very impressed how the cockpit was able to let the water escape rather quickly. After thirty minute fight grabbed the leader and popped her off. Hour later caught a sail and picked at the dolphin. Great day all and all.
I will try and get them trying to figure it out. I could not make it do to work....Trying again this weekend weather looks to be shaping pretty nice...hope the sails turn on again..
Are you the Capt.? If not, are you, by any chance in the market for a reliable, non-smoker,non-drinker, thats good with kids, has run and worked as a mate on boats in the 50-72' range for the last 20 years and is accomplished in tournament fishing. If you are the capt, I appollogize, if your an owner/operator-wouldn't you rather be in the cockpit fighting fish.
Cheers,
Capt. D. Rogers bigfish@fat2na.com
