Well another Christmas has come and gone and 2009 is only a couple of days away. My oldest brother was in town and we got to do a little fishing together which was really nice. The Redfish are still thick in the shallows and with a little scouting around are not hard to find. It seems to me that this fishery is as good now as it ever has been. Berkley Gulps are still the top producers and I have caught fish on just about every model that they make. On Saturday my brothers fished offshore, I opted out due to a sore back, and they killed the bottom fish. They caught some huge Sea Bass, Grouper to 20 lbs. and a few Flounder. One may be the new S.C. state record for Summer Flounder, it was 4.5 lbs. We are waiting on confirmation of the species it was hard to tell but worth a call to the S.C.D.N.R. The fish are here and I am ready to get after them in a moments' notice so come on down for some unforgetable action. Happy New Year to all and thank you for a great 2008 and I am sure we will all be fine in 2009. Until the tide turns, catch you later.
