11-29-10: Offshore fishing when the weather will let you get there has still been doing pretty good. There have been nice catches of wahoo and blackfin tuna as well as a few yellowfin tuna and dolphin. Closer to the beach the false albacore fishing is picking up once again as I write this report. Large numbers of albacore are showing up at Cape Lookout today and are pushing larger silverside bait and seem to be chewing pretty good. The fishing at the rock jetty for speckled trout and red drum was ver hot this morning. There were larger speckled trout caught this morning as well as some nice red drum. Looks like December might just come in with a bang for our inshore fisheries. There have also been a few giant bluefin tuna hookd but none landed as of this report. I expect that sometime this week that there will be some landings of bluefin here around the Morehead City area.
