07-26-2011: Capt. Joe's now has a new page on the web-site. "Capt's comments and Events". .Check out the Capt's Comments and Events about the proposed sulfer plant that is headed for the port unless we can stop it. The winds have been brutal so far this week, slowing up all fishing offshore and some of the inshore fishing. Red drum bite is still going on and the Spanish mackerel fishing continues around and inside the Beaufort Inlet. Long range forecast looks like the winds will subside and the seas will drop to 2-4 ft. The latest reports that we got from offshore was a very good white marlin bite up to the north of the Big Rock as well as some good sailfish. there were still good numbers of bailer dolphin and a few gaffers dolphin.
