Capt. Brian Harrington Extreme Measures Charters/RUN OFF

Hello everyone, Capt. Brian Harrington here of Extreme Measures Charters and the RUN-OFF. Extreme Measures Charters offers a wide variety of fishing from Tarpon and Giant Drum in the river to Offshore/Gulfstream, Tuna, Dolphin, Wahoo, Billfish and everything in between. Have two boats, a new 2005 42 Wesmac , awesome ride, and a new 2005 25' Contender. We are based here in Morehead City, NC. Home of the famous Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament. We fish 12 months out of the year. Greatly encourage charter participation,....you can do as little or as much as you like! I am a local, full time charter captain, I do this 100% for a living and I take a lot of pride in my work. I open my arms to all of you who may have any questions about our area or our fishing. Thank you sportfishermen.com for this opportunity to share some knowledge. Capt. Brian Harrington. Extreme Measures Charters/ Run-Off

Mako fishing

Hello, the only serious Mako shark fishing that I have been a part of was the times traveling North up the coast. Did some off of Cape May, NJ and up towards Sandy Hook NJ. This was years ago, like 20+ years ago. Here off Morehead City/Atlantic Beach, NC., we seem to have a pretty good showing of them during the late winter and early spring months. The Mako sharks that I have encountered here usually have been while trolling for Giant Bluefin Tuna or fishing offshore in March and April for yellowfin tuna. AND YES, WE TOO HAVE SOME LONG LINE BOATS off of our coast time to time, they seem to take their fair share as well. Most of the Mako Sharks that I have personally caught have been in water of 63-70 degrees, and most of them have attacked or eaten whatever species we were targeting. So to answer your question, YES I do believe it is an achievable goal down here, there is just no interest from our charters to fish for them, not yet anyway. Hope this helps. Thank you. Capt. Brian.

WAHOO BUSTER VIDEOS does it agian. Marty great job. The music was in perfect timing. Your right about the Shimano rods. We have had four of them for years and never had a problem. We also have four of the new Shimano's and have busted rod tips, twisted gimbal butts, and broken reel seats. Oh well, they don't makem like they use to.

good looking fish box

Not so good looking crew. Marty, you need to get those bikinis back on the boat. Looks like you all had a great day on the water and the video was top notch. Never really done much wreck fishing but it looks fun. Hope the weather man gets one right this weekend.
