Cape Fear River Red Drum

Cape Fear Guide is reporting the red drum bite has been steadly improving with the slightly cooler night tempertures.
The southern creeks just off the river are full of red drum every spot I chose to fish on Friday,held at least 2 slot size reds.Rapala X-Wrap plugs are one of my favorites to cast to the river bank,my main bait is the carolina rig with live bait.
Flounders are also being caught in the smaller creeks,and along the docks on the waterways.
