9-6-11 ...... TUESDAY ...... What a GREAT WEEKEND! ...... Hurricane KATIA is almost GONE & the SPOTS are BITING! ......

The STAFF of BIP would like to thank all of those who visited us this weekend; there has been quite a surprising turnout! .......... It's understandable, though! ............ The BEACH was absolutely beautiful with clear GREEN-BLUE water, and just enough cool to keep it comfortable! ............. Fishing? ............. STILL plenty of BAITFISH in the water, and the SPOTS, POMPANO, SEA MULLET, PUPPY DRUM, and SPANISH MACKEREL are still plentiful! .......... Congratulations to BRENT WILES (Jacksonville, NC)--5 lb. 13 oz. PUPPY DRUM ............. MARK PRICE & MIKE WITHERING (Mt. Olive, NC)--1 lb. 9 oz. POMPANO (each) .............. LOU PACE (Stella, NC)--1 lb. 8 oz. POMPANO & 1 lb. SEA MULLET ................. JOHNNY RED & JONATHAN SWEAT (Fuquay-Varina, NC)--1 lb. SEA MULLET .............YANG-OK DETTREY (Kinston, NC)--9 oz. SPOT ............. DANNY PURVIS (Maysville, NC)--7 oz. SPOTS ................. and JULIAN SIMMONDS (Jacksonville, NC)--7 oz. SPOT ............. We are kicking our heels and preparing to get back to work on the pier tomorrow after things settle down! ........... We are currently working on replacement of our lost sections, and hope to begin the lost piling replacement in early NOVEMBER. ............. We are also working on a temporary FISH CLEANING STATION that will be enough to get us thru the FALL SEASON. ............. Please come down and fish with us; the pier is 763 feet long, and there is plenty of room for EVERYONE! .......... SEE YOU SOON! ............. MIKE STANLEY
