9-1-11 ...... THURSDAY ...... It's LABOR DAY WEEKEND, the PIER is COMPLETELY OPEN, and WE'RE CATCHING FISH! ......

The water looked like KEY WEST at Emerald Isle yesterday; absolutely beautiful, clear GREEN-BLUE water! ............... The BAIT FISH were swimming and SPANISH MACKEREL chasing them! ............. We have finally made it to the OFFICIAL end of SUMMER, and Emerald Isle doesn't even look like there was a large HURRICANE anywhere! ............. Lots of people have been by to see us this week; there were lots of smiling faces after finding out that we were in the process of re-building completely! ............ FISHING? ............ there are signs of EARLY FALL everywhere! ............ Yesterday we secured a section with a lost piling so that we could open an additional 100' before the weekend! ............. The SPANISH MACKEREL were shooting through large schools of JUMPING MULLET MINNOWS, as were ALBACORE! ............
