There is plenty of SUNSHINE here on the CRYSTAL COAST; plenty of boats offshore catching SPANISH MACKEREL, too! ................ We have been picking up some nice FLOUNDER, SEA MULLET, BLUEFISH, SPANISH MACKEREL, and SPADEFISH ............... Congratulations to ALLEN SKINNER (Clinton, NC)--1 lb. 5 oz. SEA MULLET .................. GRAY CRATER (Newport, NC)--3 lb. 11 oz. FLOUNDER ............. LANE McLEAN (Pine Level, NC)--7 oz. BLUEFISH .............. and LEILA & OLIVIA AMMON (New Bern, NC)--3 1/2 oz. & 2 1/2 oz. SPADEFISH .................. We have heard of a big PUPPY DRUM caught near the point, so keep that in mind! ............... Fishing for FLOUNDER is becoming a lot more popular around here , too! ................. Don't forget, the 2011 BIP KING MACKEREL TOURNAMENT will be held OCT. 3rd thru OCT. 7th this year, and we will be taking applications for the LOTTERY starting SATURDAY, August 20th. ............. Be sure to get your name in the pot before September 10th, because the drawing will be on Sept. 11th ............ We will continuing our "Grandfather" program this year, and all of those entries must have their entry by LABOR DAY so that we can determine how many open entries we can have.
