Speaking of the END, the 2011 BIP KING MACKEREL TOURNAMENT will be held OCT. 3rd thru OCT. 7th this year, and we will be taking applications for the LOTTERY starting SATURDAY, August 20th. ............. Be sure to get your name in the pot before September 10th, because the drawing will be on Sept. 11th ............ We will continuing our "Grandfather" program this year, and all of those entries must have their entry by LABOR DAY so that we can determine how many open entries we can have. The open entries increase every year due to a decrease in the "Grandfathered" contestants! ............... The FISHING is getting better! ............. Come on down this weekend! ............... Fishing has improved this weekend; there were increased catches of SEA MULLET, BLUEFISH, FLOUNDER, POMPANO, and SPANISH MACKEREL! ............... Congratulations to APOLONIO GONZALES-GUEVARA (Lacoma, NC)--4 lb. 2 oz. SPANISH MACKEREL .............. BOBBY BAIN (Rocky Mount, NC)--1 lb. 6 oz., 2 lb. 13 oz. & 1 lb. 12 oz. FLOUNDERS ............... The WATER TEMPERATURE has dropped a degree or two to 84* (thanks Dr. Bogus), and hopefully this will be a trend since the air temps will be upper 80's to low 90's this coming week! .................
