11-28-10 ...... SUNDAY ...... OUR LAST DAY of 2010! ......

We have hit the BIG DAY of 2010; we will be closing tonight at 6:00 pm! ............. November has been a good one for fishermen at BIP; plenty of PUPPY DRUM, BLACK DRUM, SEA MULLET, BLOWFISH, and BLUEFISH! ............ Congratulations to STEVE WOODRUFF (Clayton, NC)--3 lb. 8 oz. PUPPY DRUM ........... DEVON PICKETT (Jacksonville, NC)--2 lb. 8 oz. PUPPY DRUM ............ BRENDA LEWIS (Trenton, NC)--1 lb. 4 oz. SEA MULLET .......... MAURICE & DEVON PICKETT (Jacksonville, NC)--COOLER of FISH ............... and CASEY HO (Raleigh, NC)--COOLER of FISH! .............. We will have the last pictures of the 50th ANNIVERSARY 2010 fishing season on the next report! .............. Absolutely beautiful fishing weather has prevailed this weekend and we have seen one of the best closing weeks of our history in terms of fishing numbers! ........... We can only hope that 2011 is as fun and memorable as this past year! ........... On a sad note, we have lost one of our dearest friends ............ BILL LEWIS ............. Bill passed away on Thanksgiving Day at his home in Cape Carteret. ........ If you were here any morning around 8 am, he was always walking the pier and keeping his dog while his wife walked the beach. ........... Bill was a tall, slender man with a floppy hat that brightened everyone's day. ............. He will be missed by all of his friends at the pier. ............. Our condolences go out to his family! .............. The 2011 BIP SEASON PASSES are available at the pierhouse until TODAY ............... If you can't make it down and would like to get them by mail, simply send a note by mail to: BOGUE INLET PIER, 403 Wild Cherry Lane, EMERALD ISLE, NC 28594 ...................
