Bald Head Island, SC
My brother is staying at Bald Head Island this week and next with his In-laws. He borrowed a few rods and tackle from me before he left. Any advice I can pass onto him, about fishing down there from the beach or the marsh behind him. He talked about a long point that extends out where marsh and ocean come together. No clue! anyway, told him theres got to be aleast blues along surf. Any advice, thanks

He should find small blues in the surf. The trout and, red fish should should be in the surf on the last of the falling tide and, the first of the rising tide using cut mullet or shrimp on the bottom.

on the riseing tide he should find Ladyfish in the current if it is where I think you aer talking about. You should find some Rd Drum up on the flats on low tide but keep an eye put for stingrays while you wade...

Good point Lee,
If you drag or shuffle you feet while wading the rays will move out of your way as a general rule. I'm seeing a lot of tailing reds rite now on the flats so, watch for mud boils and, running bait. |

Jeremy,
Last time i looked across the river Bald Head was still in NC. Capt lee is dead on. Reds and trout are still biting on the backside. The rays were as thick this past weekend as i have ever seen. They were up and down the beachin ankle deep water so I am sure they are thick at BHI |
