Gulf Stream Fishing In April……
Awww….the sound of multiple reels screaming as each rod doubles over when your bait spread is suddenly ambushed by a school of Yellowfin Tuna……or how bout a monster Wahoo skyrocketing on an outrigger bait and burning 300yds of line off of a 50 wide……better yet, the beautiful yellow, green, and blue colors of a Mahi-Mahi as it jumps to free itself from the end of your line….. That’s Holden Beach Gulf Stream Fishing at its finest aboard the Stand ‘N Down II….

Knock Knock….. Woo’s there!!!!
Man! Was it on fire or what Tuesday’s trip to the Gulf Stream provided a Heart racing, drag screaming, action packed steady bite thought the day aboard the Stand ‘N Down II with Captain Keith Logan of Stand ‘N Down Charters at Holden Beach NC…. The morning began at the Blackjack Hole when a small Blackfin hit the long line at 7:50 a.m. followed by a healthy AJ around 60 pounds that came face to face with the business end of a Owenr 9/0 hook. Then…. the ultimate thrill captured the crew as a Wahoo in the mid fifties hit a large Ballyhoo being pulled behind a purple and black skirt on the long line off the outrigger. This Hoomanaged to smoke about 500 yards off of a Shimano 50 before Captain Logan could order the lines cleared and make a trun on the fish…. Within just a few minutes of this Hoo busting up the party another Wahoo, this one in the mid-thirties, smoked the reel on the far back line before ending up in the fisk box. A coule nice Mahi showed up to be boated along with two more Blackfins and a King Mackerel. The day would not been complete without a few healthy Black Bass jigged up to add to the table fare already on ice. A great time was had by all and the weather was perfect.
