Thanks Capt. Cliff for bringing this to my attention. On my first trip down to Hatteras I left the wife on the beach late one afternoon and went dock walking. I was a new lisc Capt. at the time, and was interested in what others were doing. Capt. Ernal was alive at the time and i had the honor to meet and talk to him. What a gentleman! Ernie was starting to take over and I asked about the oldest of the 3 boats and power. Ernine said thay had just repowered with a B series Cummins and i said the guys i fished around up on the Chesapeake were going to those also and how did he like it. Back than they took a boat ride in the evening when all the fish cleaning was done to discard the scrapes. Ernie said come on you see has it runs and off we went!
That started a connection that will last until me or the Albatross fleet is done. My biggest dolphin came on Albatross 2! Those are great people and some legendary, great boats. Thanks again.
my favorite fishing boats period. some of the most beautiful lines ever made on a boat. graceful don't do them justice... they seem to just flow with the water.
That's cool stuff right there...I sat next to one of the captains in the albatross fleet all week for my 6pac and he had some pretty neat stories to tell for sure.
