2009 4th Annual P.M. Avin KMT Results and Pics

Fishing off the Grand Strand coast for Kings was great this weekend! The 4th annual P.M. Avin Tournament was held out of Belle Isle Marina today with a ton of fish brought to the docks! Two teams using Fishizzle Tackle came out on top in the end. "Susanna Jules" with Mark Heiden, Derek Heiden, Bobby Earl, Brad Prescott, and David Martin fished the "Not So Secret Hole" and brought in a 37.9 lb King to the scales that was to sit at the top and take home first place! "How Sweet It Is" brought in a 29.5 lb King that took second. Both boats were pulling Fishizzle Tackle with "Susanna Jules" bringing in their winning fish on a Fishizzle "King Bling". "How Sweet It Is" with Dange Hanniford, Capt. Joseph Dunaway, John Evans, Mike Mason, and Turbo Graham fished on up North at the "Belkie Bear" and brought in their second place fish on a Fishizzle Pink/White "King Bling" skirt with a "Plan B" head rigged on the downrigger. The "Donzi Mama" with Larry Heiden consisted of a captain and 1 (female) mate as a crew. They had several fish in the 20+lbs range and ended up with a 28 lb on the scales. Congrats to all the teams!

How big a tournament is thisand where is it held out of. I am not famaliar with this tournament.

It is a tournament held out of Belle Isle Marina in Georgetown, SC. It is put on by the Florence Blue Water Fishing Club. It is in honor of one of their members that passed away a few years back. The tournament is in its 4th year.
