Audio Fishing Reports By SportFishermen.com

(877) Say-Tuna
Or
(877) 729-8862
Also we added another number for those sat phones who can not call 800 or 877's or your provider charges for those calls.

609 474 8115

The time has come to release a new project we have been working on for awhile now and I believe we have it completed.
Please give us your suggestions to help make this better.

How it works:
Call 877-Say-Tuna (729-8862)
Dial the extension for your area (Extensions listed below)
When the recording picks up dial your ext.
If you forget the ext. press 9 for a directory, then hit 1 for the full list.
Leave your message then hang up.

What happens next:
Our system gets the audio converts it and with in 10 minutes creates a thread in the audio fishing reports section with the subject being your state.
People can click play and listen to your report.
It is 100% automated so you can call in at any time 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

What this is good for:
  • Weather reports, help fellow sport fishermen make a judgment call on the sea conditions.
  • Sea temps in certain areas
  • Is there a bite?
  • Get a message to a friend who may be leaving to come out and you need to give him info.
  • Family and friends, you can leave messages at anytime and tell your family to keep a eye on this forum and leave them a message.
  • Charter boats this is a great way to make your captain get exposure for your firm. Have them call in from sat phones or the cell phone when they get close to land and get some publicity for your boats.
  • Bait and tackle shops who don't have time to post on forums can leave a detailed fishing report of what is being caught in the area. This is also a great way to advertise your company.
I'm sure more and more reason will appear to what you can do with this.
This is NOT A EMERGENCY CALL CENTER but is a great way to let people know if you are going to be late returning from sea.
We may also if you all want make a sub forum to this for Float plans. You may change your plans at the last minute and this would be away to update family of the change if you have them aware of this forum.

I hope you all like this new feature and hope to see it grow over time.

Thanks
Capt John Eppehimer

Also these 877 numbers don't work from down here w/o having to go through an outrageous international transfer network...like $8 p/minute...can you post the direct line so we can call in on that one instead??? Lemme know...

For anyone reading this Capt Josh brought up the fact that his phone company charged him to call a 800 or 877 numbers.

We have added a new another number so if your sat phones can not call 800 or 877 write down this number.

Thanks

Jer,
Yes, I got them to work tonight. One of the easiest Audio to manipulate using a screen reader I have found! If you want I will PM you about why, but basically because it is SIMPLE on the screen. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! This is going to make one blind guy VERY happy when it takes off and all the Captains phone in their reports! (Insert a mental picture of me doing back flips here. LOL)

John,
I see that you say offshore. Now that the Bass season is approaching, would you like us to call these reports in also?

Are you sure you don't mind me putting up mud marlin reports? I know you like offshore fishing! BTW, I left you a message on your office number.
