Wildlife Technician
Location: Jerome, ID

Responsibilities: Will assist with wildlife and vegetation monitoring efforts in and adjacent to the Murphy Complex Fire southwest of Twin Falls, ID. Monitoring efforts will include, but are not limited to monitoring permanent vegetation transects and surveys for small mammals and songbirds.
Incumbent will typically work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, but must be willing to work on weekends occasionally. Must have the ability to work independently and in groups in remote locations.
Qualifications/Skills needed:
A Bachelor’s degree in a natural resources field is preferred, but not required. Candidates should be able to: operate 4WD vehicles and ATVs, conduct wildlife and vegetation surveys, identify various species of wildlife and plants, complete strenuous work for extended periods of time, and work in adverse weather conditions.
