Summer is right around the corner and the Swampscott Recreation Department is looking forward to taking applications for summer jobs and lining up staff.

The department is currently taking applications for summer employment for Park League, Tennis, Track and Field, Recreation Center, Lifeguards and Sailing Instructors. Applications can be picked up at Town Hall, the High School main office or on the town Web site at www.town.swampscott.ma.us. All applications must be submitted by March 31.

Sailing director, race coach needed

The sailing director’s position requires administrative experience working with a staff of 15 sailing instructors, two to three years of sailing experience, US Sailing Level 1 training, Lifesaving and CPR certification, and boating safety. Someone with teaching experience and a college degree is preferred. Applications can be picked up at Town Hall and must be received by March 31.

The race coach’s position will require racing and maintenance experience with 420s, boating safety course, and Lifeguard and CPR training.
