Dear Friend/Colleague:

I'm making plans to populate two summer intern programs I manage. Might you help me recruit? Information on the programs can be found on websites below.
Please pass this along to any students you know who might be interested.

Today we are officially announcing the 2010 Partnership Education Program
(PEP) and calling for applications. Hosted by a consortium of six science institutions in Woods Hole, Mass., PEP offers undergraduate course work combined with research in marine and environmental science.
Launched in 2009, PEP is an ongoing diversity program designed to recruit talent from minority groups that are under-represented in marine and environmental sciences.

To learn more, read the news release here and follow the links to the course description and application form:

E-mail Dr. Ambrose Jearld (Ambrose.Jearld@NOAA.gov) with any questions.

Please pass along word to students that we have some paying summer internships (through the Bradford E. Brown program) here in the Northeast Fisheries Science Center. Some of these opportunities are here in Woods Hole and some at our other Northeast U. S. laboratories. You can read all about the program and find application instructions here:

Note that the "postmark-on-or-before" deadline is February 23. Also note that since this is a federal program, it is open to U.S. citizens only, and that it is primarily intended for undergrads although grad students may also apply.

If you have any questions, contact Dr. Ambrose Jearld (ambrose.jearld@noaa.gov).
