Thanks to those that have replied to date to this thread. I have met some (including Matt Splane – special thanks) but have had to delay in starting, primarily due to handover bureaucracy, particular to Cape Verde. TIA after all!!!!!

Anywho.. On top of this, I was involved in a major RTI in late 07, so have delayed the launch of resort until winter 08/09.

For those still interested, this gives us plenty of time for us to get together, agree terms and start looking for our boats. Intention will be to go for a Christmas opening, but as main Marlin run is from April (when seas calm down too), it will be a soft opening and a chance to test Kit, boats and crew.

Direct flights already from Boston/Brazil/Europe and Africa and we will probably go for a charter from Miami or fort Lauderdale depending on interest from USA

If you still think you are up for this post and your not afraid make a serious commitment, being an outgoing, entertaining and pioneering character, we have the fish a-waitin’ to be found.

my name is graeme[badger] dearman,born in uk, live in grenada, west indies, where i have citizenship, i own and run grenada sportfishing, please feel free to view the website, www.grenadasportfishing.com, in 2006 i bought a 38ft luhrs from stuart fl and ran it down to grenada in 5 days with no problems, we hold many records for fishing including grenada's first known triple hook up of blues, all were released, we try to fish as many tournaments as we can and have had good sucsess, the reason i wish to relocate is that the tourism industry on grenada has took a major nose dive.

Seriously.. I'm looking for an easy going, experienced and trusted or very ambitious and skilled young skipper, looking for a world class opportunity and a chance to fish some virgin waters for monster fish.

(I need commitment from early Nov 07 onwards), (Now changed to mid Jan 08)


and likely you will recruit your crew locally. You'll need to buy the boat (s) and all the gear (nothing out on CV) and ship them out to Canaries, where you'll run the boat(s) down to Cape Verde.

This really is one of those opportunities that doesn’t come around too often and I am going to want to see that your the right person to fit the bill (and catch them too).

maintenance on many vessels. I have captained many
vessels from all over the east coast U.S. from Maine
to Miami and the Keys to dry tortuga, as well as the
Caribbean down to Venezuela have also fished in
Madeira Island near the Canaries and most recently
(last week) returned from an extensive fishing
excursion to Malindi, Kenya. East Africa.
Most recently, the last two years I have been working
as a freelance Captain/Mate on several boats in Palm
Beach and O.C. Maryland. The Island Clan, Fighting
Lady and La Vida in Palm Beach and the Accomadator,
Blood sweat and tears, Hammer and shadowfax in O.C.
Prior to that 2 yrs I was the Capt of Seaphoria a 61
Viking enclosed flybridge. Previous to that I did a
short tenure with the George S. May international
Company as an Executive Analyst business
consulting,was the operations manager for Streicher
Mobile Fueling Florida and mid west divisions and
owned and operated a wholesale Seafood Company,
However I continued running boats on My off time.
Prior to that I was the Captain of the Reel Joy for
many years and 4 upgrades on boats, while at the same
time skippering other boats here and there as well
on the side.

EDUCATION:
I Graduated grade school from St Marks private
school, Graduated high school from Catonsville High
1979, Then Catonsville Community college - courses in
accounting, business management, business law,
science all other required college courses. I hold a
U.S. Coast Guard 100 ton Captains License,have
completed the course at George S. may as Executive
Analyst,Various training in D.O.T regulation,
hazardous material handling and clean up,U.S. Army
Rangers survival training,Instructor for backpacking,
