I hope everyone is well and is surviving a relatively tough winter (I left
my snow shoes in Idaho!). I was writing to let y'all know that Shenandoah
National Park will be hiring several fish technicians for the summer. If
you know of anyone who is well suited, please pass this email on to them or
have them contact me. Prior experience with backpack electrofishing is
desired, but not required. Interested applicants can apply for the job
through the USAJOBS website by visiting www.usajobs.opm.gov and searching
for "Shenandoah fish". Pay is good for a seasonal position and will range
from $13.50 (GS4) to $15 (GS5) / hour. We will likely be able to provide
housing at the park. Positions will run from mid-May through late-August.
We also have volunteer positions available through the student conservation
association (www.thesca.org).

If you know of some good folks who might be available please pass this info
along to them.

Thanks,

Jeb
