Well guys I was at the Miami Boat Show last week, for the whole week and it was a much lower turnout as I could observe compared to last year.
I am captain on a M/Y at this time as jobs in the sportfish field are not just flat but declining rapidly. There are so many captains and mates beating the streets right now it is getting ugly. I am trying to be optimistic but the numbers don't lie. I am not sure how long a turn around is going to take but years is not out of the question.
Here I am 35 years in the industry and an over qualified resume and no positions available. It is ugly.
I am looking for the light at the end of the tunnel and hope I see it soon. If we keep the faith it will come.
