Here's a few things i want you to consider. These are examples that have, for whatever reason, sent people packing in the past. I really don't like making the same mistake twice, so please pay attention.

1.) Homesickness - mama's boys can only hide their need for the soft, comforting lap of mommy and daddy for so long. Living thousands of miles away from your hometown wears on your psyche, your friendships, relationships, general demeanor, etc etc etc. It takes a special "internal fortitude" to handle that kind of separation. You need to really think about whether or not you have that kind of inner strength.

2.) Stamina - There are no "days off" in our world. Each and every day is an opportunity to kick ass in a large and formidable way. In my mind any day spent not thinking about how we can elevate ourselves to the next level is a goddamn WASTE OF PRECIOUS TIME. Life is short amigo, play hard.

3.) LOVE OF THE GAME - arguably THE most important facet to our entire operation. We look at this as serious professional sport, and do not want to have to drag anybody to practice on mondays. If you do not breath, eat, sleep, fuck, and dream about operating at this level, you need not go any further than this sentence.

4.) Teamwork - a major consideration at any level, particularly this one. I view our team as any other professional NBA, NFL, NHL, or MBA association. Everybody has a job and is responsible for fulfilling their duties. In order to succeed everyone needs to understand their position, the requirements of those holding positions around them, and everyone TOGETHER must perform at the highest level accordingly.

5.) Commitment - we're tired of training "temporaries". That is to say - people who THINK they are truly professional fishermen, and perhaps they are, but as it turns out - only for a short period of time. I'm looking for long-term players here, people who COMMIT to a franchise and stick with it in order to SUCCEED TOGETHER. We're committing to YOU by training you, taking you under our wing, and opening up our world to you. A world which has taken some of us over 20 years to envision, realize, and most importantly EARN THE HARD WAY.

With all this in mind, i'd like to hear your thoughts Gerrad. Please - take all the time and space you need to HONESTLY asses your situation, and why you think you would be a good fit for our team.

This is the big leagues amigo, you gotta be able to swing the bat hard to impress the players around here.

Good luck!

Hey Josh I just want to say I’m not some mama’s boy I work for everything I own as I’m sure you do to don’t get me wrong I love my mom but not even her could hold me back from fulfilling my dreams . I do eat, sleep, fuck, dream fishing it’s all I know I like change, change is good especially if it for the better. I’m always trying to better myself even if in the littlest ways. I’m always good with learning new thing. I catch on fast. I have nothing holding me back no girl friend well that says it all as far as being held back and if I did I would probably break up with her for this job all I can say is I won’t let you down if you give me chance that’s all I’m asking for.

I didn't see the other thread, don't give a chit about it either. And i agree with you BOX, you need some craftiness and some remnant of pirate blood left in you to really excel at this profession.

What struck me was the level of passion.

I always say i can teach a monkey how to fish, but i can't teach that same monkey about attitude, enthusiasm, or the aforementioned passion (often so rare these days).

When it boils right down to it, that's the most important thing i'm looking for.

Gerrad i look forward to talking with you tomorrow, time will take care of all equalization from there.
