Thumbs up Looking for a Captain/mate job or boat in South Jersey

I am looking for spring and summer work for the 2009 season. I have a boat that is in need of an engine and some funding or a position on a private/charter boat in the South Jersey area. I have been in the business for just under 20 years part time and have been full time for the last three. I have an good following but of course I can't guarantee they will come to the boat I work.

I have a masters license and have experience on vessels up to 35 tons. I have mechanical skills and do most mantainance required for everyday operations. I have excellent people skills and a good knowledge of the South Jersey area for fishing. Of course I am drug free, safety conscious and a hard worker. I take pride in having happy and repeating customers.

If someone is interested in jumping in with my boat, I have a 40ft Jersey with one 671tib and needs a second as well as interior work to get it ready to sail. More time and money it can be a very nice charter boat. Hull is sound and has electronics. I have access to the second engine and trannies.

Contact information: John Wilson 609-672-2595 or 267-767-9124 email mrlampshade@msn.com

    Good luck Capt John

Capt John was parked right next to us the past couple of years when he ran the OG and we got to know Capt John as he was our neighbor at South Jersey Marina. He is a devoted Captain and really does take pride in his work and I personally can attest to this from the many conversations at the dock over the last few years. He really does care plus he has one of the most dynamic personalties of any charter captain I have ever met. I feel the ability to keep everyone on board laughing and having fun is a real positive and Capt John stands above almost all the charter captains I have ever met in the last 25 years or so. He really has a personality that will make those on board enjoy their day fishing regardless if the bite is red hot or one of those slower days we all have sooner or later. Good guy that really cares and would be add a great deal to any charter boat operation looking for a quality captain or private boat. Best of luck with your job search John.

Pitch Bait introduced me to Capt John last spring at SJM.

He is a very personable man and wen't out of his way to help us put some fish on our decks.

Whoever puts you on their bridge will be lucky to have you there.

Good luck John, see you in the spring.
