I have just joined this forum and hopefully will be able to get some information from it. My name is Todd and I am looking for internship/job for this upcoming summer. I have always wanted to own my own fishing charter and continue to take the steps towards doing so. I am at the bottom as of right now and would really like to get some work ecperience on one or somehow be involved in one. I am in Alabama right now but am free to travel. Todd, you might want to give some of your background and fishing expierence. Being in the business full-time and making the move 7 years ago to that level, I could be the kind of guy who is always looking for mates for my boats. What makes are shop work so well is that the mates and captains also work in the tackle shop so our information and advise is always on top of the local scene. I would not respond to your post to offer you a job unless I have an idea about your background. Hey, we all had to start at the bottom so if you have no fishing expierence then you are a blank canvas. The two most importan factors for my staff has nothing to do with fishing. You have to have good common sense and be very good with people. I can't teach anyone those skills, I can teach people how to fish. Good luck. Capt. Eric
