This position, within the Power train Division, is located at our product development center in Waukegan, IL.


As an Electrical Engineering Technician, your responsibilities will include the following:

• Apply electrical theory and related knowledge to develop electronic components and systems for recreational products.

• Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance of developmental parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions, record results, and issue reports.

• Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles using hand tools and measuring instruments.

• Provide technical assistance and resolution when engineering problems are encountered throughout the development process.

• Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical instruments or test equipment.

• Collaborate with electrical/mechanical engineers and other engineering personnel to identify, define, and solve developmental problems.

• Analyze and interpret test information to resolve design-related problems.

• Modify electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deviations.

• Some field travel required.



The ideal candidate will have 2 yr. associates degree in electronics; a high level of mechanical aptitude; must be self-motivated and self-directed and possess strong organizational skills, strong communication skills both written and orally; must be flexible to performing a wide range of tasks responding to changes in direction and priorities, and accepting new challenges, responsibilities and assignments.
