Sport Fishing Work History:

Present – May 2009: 57’ Ocean Yacht ‘Three of a Kind’ Capt. Max Morris
Responsibilities included: Single handed maintenance and upkeep of a family owned sport fishing/cruising program. Full Captain’s duties including mechanical, ships systems, and cosmetic upkeep. Tournament, charter, and ‘fun’ fishing, as well as cruising and diving through New England (New York City – Northern Massachusetts), South Florida, and the Florida Keys.

May 2009 – April 2007: 65’ Viking ‘Reel Cajun’ Capt. Max Morris
Responsibilities included: Daily overall management of a traveling, company owned, active sport fishing boat/program. Full Captain’s duties including mechanical, ships systems, and cosmetic upkeep. Financial management of the boat. Coordinated a significant refit of the boat in the spring of 2008 at the Viking Boatyard as well as re-power of the boat at the Galati Boatyard. Sport Fishing and Cruising the Bahamas, South Florida including the Keys, and Gulf of Mexico.

April 2007 – October 2005: 74’ Viking ‘Penny Perfect’ Capt. Roy Krum
Responsibilities included: Completion and delivery of the boat from the Viking Factory. Total outfitting of the boat for extended travel in Central America. Private and Tournament sport fishing in the Bahamas, Costa Rica, and Panama, Delivery of the boat to and from Florida to Panama, including 4 canal transits. Overall maintenance and management of a full time traveling sportfish, including cosmetic, mechanical, and tackle upkeep.

October 2005 – June 2004: 65’ Viking ‘Boys-R-Us’ Capt. Jack Morrow
Responsibilities included: Private and Tournament sport fishing and cruising in Montauk, NY, Ocean City, MD, South Florida and various Bahamian Islands. Overall boat management in conjunction with the Captain, i.e. mechanical, cosmetic, and boatyard maintenance. Complete tackle maintenance and tournament fishing.

June 2004 – October 2003: Viking Yacht Company
Mate on the 65’ factory ‘demo’ boats
Responsibilities included: Total outfitting of two new 65’ demo boats. Preparation of previous 65’ demo for sale. Boat show preparation and delivery of boats to and from shows in Florida and the Bahamas. General boat yard, cosmetic, mechanical, and tackle upkeep. Tournament fishing in the South Florida area.

October 2003 – April 2003: 61’ F&S ‘Huntress’ Capt. Bud Tingle
Daily sport fishing mate on a private charter boat in Ocean City, MD.
Responsibilities included: Complete tackle upkeep and preparation. General cosmetic and mechanical maintenance. Charter and private sport fishing as well as tournament fishing on the Mid-Atlantic Coast.

April 2003 – December 2001: 73’ Donzi ‘Too ReJoyce’ Capt. Dan Coffman
Responsibilities included: Delivery of the boat to and from Nova Scotia, South Florida, and various Bahamian Islands. Boatyard Maintenance, fishing and cruising with the owner and guests/clientele. Tournament and ‘fun’ fishing. Overall general management of the boat working with the Captain including cosmetic, mechanical, and tackle upkeep. Private and Tournament sport fishing.

I am 30 years old, clean cut and energetic. I am seeking employment in a positive environment focusing on the pleasure of the boat owner and his guests during their time on board. I have traveled extensively to areas including Canada, the East Coast of the United States, the Bahamas, as well as the Majority of Western Central America. During that time I have been fortunate enough to catch every species of billfish in the world. Having grown up in a family involved in the boat business; along with my diverse boating experiences including both tournament and ‘fun’ sport fishing as well as cruising and diving make me versatile in providing a well rounded Captain for a potential employer; as well as ensuring a properly maintained boat in ‘Palm Beach Condition’.

We are looking to hire a full time Sportfishing Boat Captain overlooking a 67 Hatteras, a 48 Cabo and a 35 Cabo fishing at the Red Sea. This is a part of a big project with 3 Marinas and a full diving and Watersports operation.
